Work smarter through collaboration at Congress 2024

Congress News

Creating an environment of collaboration is key for practices to work smarter and thrive. Join Robyn Lowe, RVN, Veterinary Voices and Paul Horwood at Congress 2024, 25th-27th January, Hilton Birmingham Metropole, where they will highlight the fundamental basics of collaboration and delegation to benefit all aspects of the practice – the client, the patient, the whole practice team and the business.

On Friday 26th January, gain an understanding of “Smarter working through collaboration and delegation” with Robyn Lowe, RVN, Veterinary Voices UK and Paul Horwood, who works with Robyn on the Veterinary Voices Hiking Group.

In her capacity as an AVN, Robyn is ideally placed to advise how RVNs can be better utilised to improve chronic disease management and hence enable the heavy practice workload to be spread more evenly.  Successful delegating isn’t about offloading unwanted tasks on your peers – sharing the work will improve their skill sets by introducing them to a new part of the company. If someone feels as though helping you will grow their career, then they’ll be more willing to sacrifice their time.

Paul’s experience in his varied career, from being an Officer in the Royal Marines to his current position of Country Head of Farm for IVC Evidensia, enables him to understand and explain the fundamental basics of management, which in turn will ensure your practice is making informed decisions, allocating resources, directing activities, and monitoring progress to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved.

Joining Robyn and Paul on Friday’s Team Dynamics stream we also have:

  • Human Factors and the Veterinary Industry: A novel approach to challenges of our professionThomas Cardy & Matt West, Trainetics
  • Thriving in Practice with a Neurodivergent teamKirsty Pickles, University of Nottingham
