Within the busy veterinary practice, the thought of making change can seem overwhelming. With learnings from high performance sport and other ultra-dynamic industries, Helen Silver-MacMahon will explore the concept of marginal gains at Congress 2024, 25th-27th January, Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Through making small incremental improvements in any process, when added together, a significant improvement can be seen.
On Thursday 25th January, Helen from RCVS Knowledge, will explore how Black Box Thinking reveals that all paths to success lead through failure and what you can do to change your perspective on it, admit your mistakes, change components of your Practice, and build your own black box to consistently learn and improve from the feedback failure gives you.
She will discuss how you can make small changes in the running of your Practice to improve efficiency, improve patient safety and enhance the wellbeing of your teams through the aggregation of marginal gains.

Joining Helen on Thursday’s Effective Practice Management stream we also have:
- Enhancing Operational Efficiencies at your Veterinary Practice – Jack Peploe, Veterinary IT Services
